Atolio is pleased to announce a new reseller partnership with Digital Plaza Direct, a trusted technology partner dedicated to serving the United States Federal Government and public sector organizations since 2006, with more than 900 federal awards across civilian agencies, the Department of Defense, and prime integrators.
Government agencies hold enormous volumes of data distributed across legacy platforms, cloud environments, specialized applications, and mission systems, but most commercial AI search solutions can’t reach any of it, because the standard architecture indexes agency content in a vendor cloud. Through this partnership, federal customers can now deploy Atolio’s sovereign context layer in their own environment. Coupled with Digital Plaza’s federal procurement expertise, agencies can now easily discover, access, and leverage critical insights while maintaining strict compliance and security standards.
Empowering the Public Sector with Modern Knowledge Search
Federal teams require secure, fast, and accurate information retrieval to execute their missions effectively. Through Digital Plaza, federal customers will gain streamlined access to Atolio’s platform, enabling agencies to:
- Break down information silos: Search across disparate systems through one interface, with permission-aware results.
- Accelerate mission outcomes: Personnel retrieve accurate answers and supporting context in real time rather than working system by system.
- Streamline procurement: Use Digital Plaza's established contract vehicles to acquire and deploy Atolio efficiently.
What Atolio Runs On
Atolio is the sovereign context layer for enterprise AI, turning fragmented organizational information into trusted context for AI search, copilots, and agents, with each source system’s permissions enforced at query time. It installs inside the agency’s own AWS, Azure, or GCP environment, or their own OpenShift cluster, rather than extending that environment out to a vendor cloud. Indexed content and queries stay there, and nothing in the request path belongs to Atolio.
The index holds each document’s access rules alongside the document, and those rules run on every query rather than being flattened into a single service account. Restricted holdings stay restricted because the system of record is still what decides. Group membership resolves through the agency's own identity provider, and a revoked permission stops returning results within the configured sync window.
That architecture is the reason this partnership exists. Mission data doesn’t leave the boundary, and most commercial AI search indexes agency content in a vendor cloud, which leaves program offices picking between capability they cannot accredit and tools that cannot see the records that matter.
Strategic Alignment
“Navigating federal procurement and security requirements requires specialized experience,” said David Lanstein, CEO and Co-Founder at Atolio. “Digital Plaza brings exceptional federal market experience, enabling us to deliver Atolio’s AI-powered knowledge discovery tools to government agencies looking to modernize their digital infrastructure.”
“Federal agencies want to use AI against the information they already have, but security, data sovereignty and access controls can make that difficult,” said Jerry Krenning, Director of Federal Solutions at Digital Plaza. “Atolio addresses that problem by bringing AI-powered discovery to the agency’s data without requiring that data to leave the agency’s environment. Digital Plaza can then provide the federal acquisition pathways and market experience needed to help agencies move from evaluating the technology to actually deploying it.”
Get Started
Agencies can acquire Atolio through multiple established federal acquisition pathways available through Digital Plaza, including the GSA Multiple Award Schedule, GSA 8(a) STARS III, FAA eFAST, and Army ITES, with NASA SEWP VI availability through the Solaiya DPD Joint Venture beginning in November 2026. These acquisition options provide federal civilian and defense organizations with flexible paths to evaluate, acquire, and deploy Atolio.

About Atolio
Atolio is the sovereign context layer for enterprise AI: permission-aware retrieval that indexes an organization's systems and answers against them inside the organization's own cloud or data center. The company has raised $24M from investors including IBM Ventures and Bloomberg Beta, and works with integrators and public sector resellers in markets where data residency is a legal requirement rather than a preference.
