“We are investing in automation to drive internal efficiencies like an Al-powered search with products such as Atolio to improve the availability of product and customer information to Sales and Marketing teams and reduce the effort required to find answers to day to day problems."
Atolio's enterprise AI search solution integrates with all your workplace apps (Slack, Google Drive, Confluence, Jira, etc.), indexing them with document-level permissions into a unique index within your own, self-hosted environment. Our platform provides a single place for employees to search, ask questions, and find answers across different tools, ensuring none of your data leaves your environment.
Atolio is deployed into your own virtual private cloud instance (on AWS, Azure, or GCP, or GovCloud) or on-premise – whichever cloud you prefer. Your data always stays within your own cloud perimeter; Atolio is fully self-hosted so it never stores or processes any of yourcustomer data on shared infrastructure. There are two deployment models: Atolio Managed, where an Atolio deployment engineer handles setup on your behalf using a delegated (and revocable) role, and Customer Managed, where your team drives the deployment using Atolio's Terraform-based tooling with guidance from Atolio support. In both cases, all data and processing remain securely within your controlled environment.
Atolio enforces permissions by mirroring the access controls of every connected source system in real time, so users only ever see content they're already authorized to view. When a document is indexed, Atolio captures its access control list (ACL) from the source, recording which users, groups, and roles are permitted to view it. At query time, the requesting user's identity is evaluated against those ACLs, and only matching content that the user is authorized to see is returned.
Atolio’s AI uses a combination of signals and information retrieval techniques to deliver the most relevant answers to users. This includes analyzing the organizational people graph, shared contributions, time factors, and leveraging embeddings to understand various representations of search criteria. Our search analytics help continuously improve relevance over time.
Atolio supports full model flexibility, allowing clients to bring their own LLM API keys across Private Azure-hosted OpenAI, OpenAI (direct), Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, AWS Bedrock, watsonx.ai studio, as well as self-hosted / open-source models like Meta’s Llama.
Atolio is priced per-user with volume, non-profit, and educational discounts, with no additional license costs for LLM usage, data ingest, connectors, or anything else.
Atolio is the only solution that is 100% self-hosted inside your own cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) so your data never leaves your infrastructure. Unlike SaaS-based tools like Microsoft Copilot or Glean, there is no third-party data processing, no security agreements to negotiate, and no compliance risk from data leaving your perimeter. Atolio is also model-agnostic: bring your own LLM (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Llama, and more) rather than being locked into one vendor's AI stack. And Atolio connects across your full tool stack — not just Microsoft ecosystem products — to surface knowledge and expertise across your entire organization.
No. Atolio is entirely self-hosted inside your own cloud environment, whether AWS, Azure, GCP, or even GovCloud, and your data never leaves your infrastructure. All documents, metadata, embeddings, and AI model outputs are processed and stored within your cloud perimeter. Atolio as a vendor has zero access to your data by default; any temporary support access during deployment is role-based and immediately revocable. This is a technical guarantee, not a contractual one, unlike SaaS-based enterprise search tools where data is processed outside your network and you rely on policy rather than architecture.
